Unless a found cat is in danger or likely to come to harm we would not take the cat into our care straight away. Instead we would scan the cat for a microchip and if it isn't chipped we would then put a paper Cats Protection collar on the cat with a hope that it will return home and the owner will contact us. If it becomes obvious that the cat doesn't have a home and if we have suitable space we will then take it into our care. To request us to scan and collar a found cat please call us on 03453 712 729 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org after you have registered it on the Animal Search UK database.
